A national meeting in Algiers

Quality at the heart of pharmaceutical professions

Under the aegis of the National Council of the Order of Pharmacists and the sponsorship of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of the Pharmaceutical Industry, the Regional Ordinary Section of Pharmacists of Algiers, organized, on November 3, a national day on “Quality in the pharmacy professions”.
A crossroads for excellence
More than 800 participants – community and hospital pharmacists, manufacturers, distributors, biologists, academics and students – took part in this event marked by excellence. A true platform for exchanges and training, this meeting aimed to promote the culture of quality throughout the entire national pharmaceutical sector.

Ambitious goals
The initiative’s mission is to: raise awareness among pharmaceutical professionals of the importance of quality in their practices, present the frameworks, standards and guides applicable to each profession, encourage the sharing of experiences and good practices, strengthen skills around quality management tools and new technologies and finally, establish a common culture of quality within all pharmaceutical sectors.

Rich and structuring exchanges
This meeting dedicated to professional and academic organizations (ANSS, Faculty of Pharmacy, CNOP, CNOM, SALAM, ALGERAC, etc.), was marked by a round table devoted to the enforceable quality benchmark for medical analysis laboratories. Conferences and workshops also brought together ministerial representatives, government agencies (ANSS, ANPP), national and international experts, as well as teacher-researchers and professionals from the sector.
The debates covered various themes: regulation, taxation, security, pharmacovigilance, data protection, training and good professional practices. “Quality is not a one-off requirement, but a culture to be built collectively in all pharmaceutical professions,” declared Professor Nebchi, president of the SORP of Algiers.

A commitment to the future
The recommendations resulting from these two days should contribute to strengthening the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products and services in Algeria, in a context of modernization and growing innovation in the sector.
