Towards a second mandate to meet Algeria’s aspirations

The President of the Algerian Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, recently announced his decision to run for a second presidential term. The President’s visit to Italy during the G20 is an illustration of this. “We cannot be strong externally if we are not strong internally,” he said, insisting that internal strength depends on ending citizens’ accumulated resentment towards old political practices.
This attention to citizens inside the country is echoed outside, where Algerian nationals receive support when they are victims of injustice and benefit from full support for the repatriation of the deceased. President Tebboune also expressed his disapproval of the practices of exhibiting large portraits of the President, saying that this era is over and that each candidate must convince with his actions and proposals.
