The president of the Nation council, Azouz Nasri received this Wednesday morning, the ambassador of the kingdom of Bahrain to Algeria, Ali Jassim Ahmed Alaradi, who paid him a courtesy visit. This was indicated this Wednesday, a statement from the council on Wednesday.

According to the press release, this meeting was an opportunity to examine the current state and the prospects of bilateral relations between the two brothers countries, as well as to exchange views on Arab, Islamic and international questions of common interest.

In this regard, Azouz Nasri praised the solidity of the fraternal links uniting Algeria and Bahrain, stressing: “These are old relationships, deeply rooted in their Arab and Islamic dimension, and based on solidarity, mutual respect and sincerity”.

In this wake, he also valued the existing Bahrainian investments in Algeria, in particular in the financial, banking and insurance sectors, expressing the wish to see the strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields and to instill a new dynamic in the partnership between the two countries, thanks to the political will and in accordance with the guidelines of the two leaders, the president Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Issa Al Khalifa.

Nasri also called for the activation of the Algerian-Bahreïni joint committee and the creation of a political consultation committee, which, according to him, would open up wider partnership perspectives and strengthen the dialogue and coordination channels between the two parties. In this sense, he declared that “the current transformation of the Algerian economy offers new opportunities, supported by a climate favorable to the investment established by recent legislations, in particular the investment law and that relating to mining activities”, said the press release.

The President of the Council of the Nation also expressed the availability of Algeria to share his experience with the Kingdom of Bahrain, elected to represent the Arab group to the United Nations Security Council for the period 2026-2027, reaffirming the will of Algeria to continue coordination and consultation with Bahrain in regional and international bodies, at the service of the common Arab and Islamic causes.
