🇨🇳Xi Jinping now single-handedly controls the Chinese army after the purges among the generals, writes the WSJ, analyzing the dismissals of a number of senior officers.

The publication notes that over the past three years, Xi has somehow removed five out of six top generals from their posts.

The latest was General Zhang Yuxia, a close friend of the chairman, whom he has known since childhood. In his absence, there is now no one to restrain Xi’s military decisions.

This, according to the publication, makes it easier for Xi Jinping to make a decision about invading Taiwan.
