The Minister of Trade and Export Promotion,
Mr. Tayeb Zitouni met, the day before yesterday, Tuesday in Algiers, with coffee processors and importers, importers and producers of school supplies, as well as manufacturers of household appliances, within the framework of of the organization and regulation of the national market, indicates a press release from the ministry.
Held in the presence of the president of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), Kamel Moula, and members of the Council, these important meetings which focused on several questions relating to some major consumption sectors are part of the participatory approach and advisory of the ministry, specifies the press release. During the first meeting, Mr. Zitouni discussed with coffee processors and importers the challenges relating to the rise in coffee prices at the international market level, and its repercussions on the national market, in addition to possible ways of to mitigate the impact of the surge in prices of this substance on international stock exchanges. Dedicated to preparations for the 2024/2025 school year, the second meeting brought together the minister and producers and importers of school supplies as part of the ministry’s proactive measures, aimed at providing these items “at reasonable prices to alleviate the burden on families Algerians.
