🇮🇱🇸🇦❌🇾🇪 — A diplomatic source told Haaretz on Monday that Netanyahu is pushing through US mediators for Saudi permission to strike Houthi targets in Yemen. The goal is for Israel to join forces with Saudi Arabia in the decade-old conflict and deepen the relationship toward a future normalization deal.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been reluctant, reportedly believing Israeli intervention would play poorly with the Saudi public.

He also serves as prime minister, so without his approval Israel is unlikely to get in.
