According to projections by the Associated Press at 5:35 AM Moscow time, the Democratic Party is projected to win 45 seats in the Senate, compared to 36 for the Republicans. Another 19 seats are still undecided.
In the House of Representatives, the agency reports that Democrats are projected to win 101 seats, while Republicans are projected to win 55. There are still 279 seats to be allocated.
As reported by “Kommersant,” Democrats have already secured votes in three key states in the Senate elections: Georgia, New Hampshire, and North Carolina. In the latter state, a Democratic candidate also managed to win a seat from the Republicans in the House of Representatives elections.
