Now that it’s official that Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed has won the primary, and one of his most prominent supporters, streamer Hasan Piker, is lashing out at Democrats who didn’t back him.

Piker called Democratic voters who opposed El-Sayed “Islamophobic pieces of sh*t,” saying:

“Everyone saying Abdul has work to do mending bridges? […] You are all unbelievable Islamophobic pieces of sht. You called the dude a terrorist for months, a sxist, bad candidate.”

A combative message like that is likely to intensify tensions within the Democratic coalition as the general election approaches.
