🇮🇱🇮🇹🇮🇷 — Mossad Chief David Barnea revealed that a Mossad agent, identified only as ‘M.’, was killed abroad during operations against Iran.
Barnea did not specify the agent’s identity, when he died, or the exact incident, noting only that the death occurred outside Israel’s borders.
Following the announcement, Israeli media reported that M. died in Italy in 2023 while working with Italian intelligence to prevent Tehran from acquiring advanced weapons.
He was reportedly killed on Lake Maggiore when a boat sank, resulting in his death along with two members of Italian intelligence and the captain’s wife. He was later buried in Ashkelon that same year.
