🇷🇺 New non-nuclear submarine projects presented

Two non-nuclear submarine projects were presented at the Flot-2026 naval show in Kronstadt.

The first is the Amur 1650 (“Амур 1650”) non-nuclear submarine project, with vertical launchers and an air-independent propulsion system. In terms of weapons load, the Amur 1650 is among the world leaders among diesel-electric submarines: up to 28 weapons, an ammunition load comparable to nuclear submarines of previous generations. Thanks to its vertical launch tubes, it can carry Club-S cruise missiles, the export version of Kalibr-PL (“Калибра-ПЛ”), or supersonic BrahMos missiles.

The second is the P750-B Serval (“П750-Б Сервал”) non-nuclear submarine project. The submarine can carry out missions in coastal and near-sea zones. Serval carries a whole arsenal of 533-mm torpedoes, missiles and mines. It is distinguished by maneuverability and stealth. Its crew is up to 20 servicemen, diving depth is 300 meters, and endurance is up to 30 days.
