🇵🇪💰✈️ — On April 20, according to sources within the Peruvian Air Force, the Peruvian government signed a contract for the purchase of F-16 Block 70 fighter jets.

Although no details of the contract were released and no official announcements were made, the initial agreement is reportedly based on a U.S. Letter of Acceptance (LOA) authorizing the potential sale of 12 F-16 Block 70s to Peru. The total estimated value is $3.42 billion, including a second batch of an additional 12 aircraft.

The initial package includes ten single-seat F-16Cs and two two-seat F-16Ds, along with 14 F110-GE-129 engines, a batch of short- and long-range air-to-air missiles, AIM-9X Block II and AIM-120C-8, as well as AN/APG-83 AESA radars, AN/AAQ-28 Litening target designation pods, electronic warfare systems, navigation and display equipment for pilots, plus spare parts, logistical support and technical training.
