🇺🇸📞🇨🇺 — Reuters, citing a U.S. State Department official, reported that a delegation from the department met with a Cuban government official on April 10 and presented a set of proposals aimed at reaching an agreement.

➡️ According to the report, the United States has proposed that Cuba allow the use of Starlink internet terminals in the country, compensate American individuals and companies for assets confiscated after the 1959 revolution, release political prisoners, and grant broader political freedoms.

➡️ The official also said Washington has expressed concern about the influence of foreign powers in Cuba and emphasized that the ruling elites in Havana have a limited window to implement key reforms supported by the United States, before conditions “deteriorate irreversibly.”

➡️ According to the official, Donald Trump is seeking a diplomatic solution if possible, but will not allow Cuba to become a major threat to U.S. national security.
