— United States Department of State’ Rewards for Justice is now offering a reward of up to $10 Million for info on Ahmad al-Hamidawi, the leader of Kataib Hezbollah terror organization, sanctioned as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) pursuant to Executive Order 13224 in February 2020
➡️ In March 2026, al-Hamidawi directed KH attacks on U.S. diplomatic facilities. For years, KH has repeatedly targeted U.S. personnel and facilities in Iraq with IEDs, rockets, and unmanned aircraft systems, kidnapped U.S. citizens, and killed innocent Iraqi civilians.
➡️ Al-Hamidawi received political, military, and intelligence training from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and serves as Secretary General of KH and on KH’s shura council. As the leader of KH, al-Hamidawi has played a central role in planning attacks against U.S. and Iraqi government security forces since 2007.
➡️ KH members have received extensive training, weapons, and other support from Iran’s IRGC-Qods Force (QF) and Iran-supported Lebanese Hizballah, both of which are U.S.-designated FTOs. KH works closely with IRGC-QF and closely follows the direction of Iran’s supreme leader. KH has conducted terrorist attacks in an effort to expel U.S. and Coalition armed forces from the country, establish an Iran-aligned government in Iraq, and advance Iranian interests throughout the Middle East.
📝 On December 27, 2019, KH launched a rocket attack against an Iraqi military base near Kirkuk, killing Nawred Hamid, a U.S. civilian contractor, and injuring four U.S. service members and two members of the Iraqi Security Forces. From December 27, 2019, to January 1, 2020, KH led protests at the U.S. embassy in Baghdad during which protesters attempted to storm the embassy.
