📺WATCH: Trump Cancels Livestream of Fort Hood Killer’s Execution, Says Firing Squad Will Proceed
President Donald Trump says the execution of Nidal Malik Hasan, convicted of killing 13 people in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting in Texas, will no longer be livestreamed.
Trump said the firing-squad execution will proceed as scheduled. He said many people would rather not watch it, despite his view that broadcasting it could serve as a deterrent.
Immediate family members of the victims may attend in person if they choose, Trump said. “They deserve to witness justice,” he wrote.
